On Sunday May 24th players journeyed to St. James Golf Club to contest this year’s championship.
With the course presented in great condition the results would prove what a great course we were playing on.
A filed of 25 players from Benalla, Beechworth, Bethanga, Yarrawonga, Wangaratta, Thurgoona and St. James fronted the starter on a cool morning.
After a tight battle over 18 holes, Andrew Walker and Vaughan Saunders were tied on 71 gross. This resulted in a playoff with Andrew triumphing on the first playoff hole over Vaughan.
Congratulations to Andrew on his amazing win.
Also congratulations go to John Wilson from Bethanga upon winning the best nett score overall on the day.
